I didn't get to Albertson's grocery store till 9 p.m. Lesson learned don't go late. A lot of the coupon special items were sold out. I did get some rain checks but I would rather have gotten the groceries and gotten it over with. I spent $54.18 and used $65.20 in coupons, preferred savings and store coupons. Not bad for my first real effort at being a Couponista.
I asked the clerks if they knew where I could find the Healthy Heart coupon books and they did not know what I was talking about. They did not like some of my computer printed coupons because my ink was running low. They did not seem thrilled about all the coupons but maybe it was the time of night. I went to the store I go to a lot and thought the clerks would be more responsive to my questions.
All in all I accomplished my goal and spent less than I saved. I will keep at it.

Sounds like a success!
You have to develop an immunity to that clerk annoyance. I actually quit doing the CVS deals because (1) the store was ALWAYS out of all the things I wanted to get, and (2) the cashiers and other workers always acted like I was the most annoying speck of dirt just out to rob them. If I didn't have such a thin skin though, it would definately be worth it to keep doing that!
