Rain rain go away.....please

Rain, rain, go away
Come again some other day
We want to go outside and play
Come again some other day

It is Junuary here in the Pacific Northwest.  The slugs have eaten all my green beans and are getting as large as kittens...well almost.  We need a series of warm dry days to get the garden going and get everything dried out.

Slugs are so nasty! I've found the coffee grounds keep them out (so far any way) I ssprinkled them along the plants and none so far....the broccli that was beautiful 2 days ago is almost gone from the worms....forgot to put grounds there!

Next time you have a slug invasion, put some plain ol' white vinegar in a spray bottle. You can spray it directly on your vegetable plants. Any slugs that are sprayed directly will die and the residue on the plants will discourage their buddies.
